I’m Jennifer King and I am a photographer in South Carolina. I have been photographing people professionally since 2008, and I have trained and studied for three years under the direction of internationally known Dutch photographic artist Jan Banning (www.JanBanning.com).
I started photographing my own children, then other children, mothers-to-be, weddings, adults and families. I’ve photographed landscapes and macro environments, animals, and mother nature. I’ve interviewed and photographed a World War II Prisoner of War Veteran. While working with Jan Banning I helped interview over 60 homeless men and women in the Southern USA and assisted in their portraits being made. Similarly I helped Mr. Banning, interview and photograph men and women inmates from the Georgia State Department of Correction facilities in addition to several jailed men and women in Atlanta, GA and surrounding counties.
These days I am interested in going back to my film roots and exploring the photography of ballet. I have only taken photos of my own daughter, but I hope to expand upon that soon.
I am no longer taking on clients, but if you are my friend or family you know where to find me.
