Rebecca and her mom, Jennifer met me 2 weeks ago for Rebecca’s senior grad shoot. Jennifer and I had been trying to get this scheduled for months now and we finally were able to settle on a date and location! I had the best time at this session! They were so energetic and were totally into my crazy locations! I had Jennifer filling in as my assistant and she was flawless. Rebecca was sweet and she knew how to rock the camera. Her clothes and hair were to die for and she had a natural ability to pose and to know exactly what I wanted her to do before I even said it. She’s a natural! What I loved most about photographing Rebecca was the ability to see the girl that she was and at the same time the woman she is becoming. I could see this duality in her facial expressions as I snapped away and it choked me up. It made me think of my sweet daughter who, in just eight short years will be at the same point as Rebecca, graduating from high school, venturing off into life as an adult and perhaps leaving home. Despite the bitter-sweet feeling coming over me, I realized what a super awesome feeling it was to be able to capture a young person at this stage, at this momentous turning point in her life. Rebecca, I wish you the all the best as you graduate from high school and embark on a new journey out in the world! Thank you for the opportunity to capture your gorgeousness, both on the inside as well as the outside. Thank you also to Jennifer, so much! I couldn’t have done this without you. Enjoy!
